But back to the point of this: the outfit. I branched out today and I think it's either going to be a hit or a miss. You see I bought this sweater vest at a thrift store and I've been dying to try and be all Pinterest stylish. I figured this would be the best weekend as I can only imagine steven's reaction to me wearing a sweater vest. So here's my attempt at being fashionable, try not to laugh too hard.
My duds:
Sweater vest: Goodwill
Shirt: Talbots via the Sal Val
Pants: Target via Santa

So aren't you all super jeal of my self photog skills? I know, I'm about to edge out the 7th grader with the duck lips.
Oh and did you all hear the WIWS shout out in the Psalm reading:
Psalm 96: 9-10 Worship the Lord in holy attire.
Yup, the might as well have followed it up with "Check out Fine Linen Purple for awesome examples of holy attire." That probably would have been a bit taboo though. So I'm saying it now. Go check out all the other ladies surely more successful pinterest outfits. :)

I deem the sweater vest a complete success! I love that your shirt has a hint of ruffles peeking out. It makes it a lovely mix of masculine/feminine, can you tell I have been watching Project Runway? Bravo, I say.
ReplyDeleteI think you did pretty well for "Pinterst stylish". I like the blue and black together!
ReplyDeleteOur husbands feel the same way about sweater vests...a very eccentric, very lovable German lady once bought me a bright green and pink Lilly Pulitzer vest from a thrift shop, and I think I'm the only person in the world who actually loves it. You look amazing; so menswear chic! The ruffles, the cropped pants...I love it all! Inspired.
ReplyDeleteI love vests. Love vests.
ReplyDeleteBut you're right- gentlemen just can't handle the vest. They also cannot handle this little thing called "the scarf."
What are you gonna do?
Love the ruffles on the shirt great choice to make the vest even more feminine and the flats with ankle pants are to cute, I give the outfit thumbs up!

ReplyDeleteLove the Psalm! You did great with your self portraits.
Ruffles and the sweater vest--how cute!
ReplyDeleteI have to repeat what everyone else is saying because it's so true -- the ruffles and vest are a major success.
ReplyDeleteI love the sweater vest paired with the cute blue top with ruffles. Great look!
ReplyDeleteYou have just the perfect figure for this outfit! You look great! I love the top with the ruffles the most!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm going to try to get inspired for next week on pinterest. Why hadn't I thought of that?
Absolute success. You look great! Ruffles are key.
ReplyDeleteToo cute, lady.
ReplyDeleteI have to be honest... I am not a huge sweater vest fan. I have tried them on and I just feel like a guy which is never the look I am going for! haha I think the ruffles makes it work though. It's a little feminine touch :)
ReplyDeleteCute outfit, I love your wonderful photography skills ;-)
ReplyDeleteAHA! So I am NOT the only one who heard the "holy attire" shout out during Mass! BTW, loving the sweater vest :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to second your request to Woz for a voice command shutter on the iPad. That would be AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteCute sweater vest!
This outfit I love! You look so studious yet girly with the ruffles.
ReplyDeleteI like the sweater vest! Though it wouldn't be nearly as nice without the ruffles on the shirt. I would say it's a hit.
