GoDark4Life

Today is the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision on Roe vs Wade. Since that monumental decision there have been over 55,000,000 abortions in the United States.

55 million children that never got to go to school, play basketball, or send notes back and forth to their best friends.

55 million teenagers that never got to drive for the first time, go to prom, or graduate high school.

55 million dads who never got to play catch with his son, teach his child how to parallel park, or walk his daughter down the aisle.

55 millions moms who never got to hold her son, kiss a bruised knee, or send her daughter off to college.

There are 55 million people missing from this earth. People that could have been your best friend, your teacher, your soul mate, your doctor, your priest, your neighbor. Who knows gaps have been left empties in the world because these people aren't here?

So in honor of those 55 million voices that have been silenced, I'll be going silent too. On Friday January 25th we'll be going dark for life.

Join us in our social media blackout. No facebook, no twitter, no blogging. No social media. Our silence will echo their's. But it doesn't stop with our silence. Take the time you would have spent on Facebook or Pinterest and spend it in prayer. Pray for those lost to abortion and those still trying to heal the wounds inflicted by abortion.

Help spread the word now with the hashtag #GoDark4Life. Share it on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, everywhere you spend your social media time. If you want this image and can't download it, let me know and I'll email it to you. The more that participate the more powerful it will be. Honor the third of our generation that was lost to abortion with a day of silence.

  1. This is a great idea, but what about the fact that the media ignores the March for Life, which is occuring this Friday? If we can't attend, the least we can do is "share" and "RT" as much as we can on Facebook and Twitter... Maybe this could be done a different day- not the one day when social media has the power to share a message that the mainstream media ignores every year?

  2. While I applaud your commitment to the pro-life movement, I must agree with Alison. Friday is not the day for silence. That's exactly what the pro-abortion folks want - to shut us up. We must come together and lift up our voices in defense of the unborn this week.

Thanks for stopping by! I love comments so if you've got something to add please don't hesitate. Also, I don't require that you agree with me but I would appreciate if you're nice. :)
