Here are some examples of the NFP buttons I want to make. These are just some prototypes I made on a whim. Let me know what you like, what you don't like, how you think they could be better, and anything else you could think. (If you follow me on Twitter you've probably seen most of these before- I can't keep things to myself.) I tried to make some more feminine and some more masculine. Looking at them now I think they look either boyish or girlish so I'll try to work on some new gender neutral ones. Please give me any suggestions you have and let me know you're favorites so I work in that direction. :)

Also, some of the sayings came straight from Twitter. I only used the ones I had tweeted because I have the right to use them. Although there were so pretty fantastic that were considerably better than mine (by some I mean A LOT) so if you happened to tweet out one of the #iuseNFP sayings and don't have a problem with it getting turned into a button let me know. This also goes for if you're not on twitter and you just happen to have some reasons why you use NFP that would be make a good button, send them my way.
Lastly, I still need a site to link these to when I make the button. I'm trying to find a really stellar NFP site. If you frequent one and think it would work leave it in the comments so I can check it out. :)
Thanks all and please be brutally honest (but in a Randy Jackson way, not a Simon Cowell way.)
I love these! And if you thought any of my tweets were button-worthy, please feel free to use!!! I would be completely flattered and I would put it on my blog, too. :) I would put some of these, too...but if you end up making one with one of my tweets, I would use it for sure!
ReplyDeleteMaybe a "guy" button should say "We Use NFP"? I guess we have to use the word "use" even though it can give the impression that NFP is a kind of contraption, instead of a way of living. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteThe top one is my favorite of the just "I Use NFP" ones. You're free to use any of my tweets, if you want (don't feel obligated).
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome to use any of my tweets if you think they're any use. I agree with John, for men maybe it should say "we"
ReplyDeletelove them. as soon as i detox from the pill, i'll get more info from you on finding a method that works well for me.
ReplyDeletefor the sake of those with small sidebars, you might want to shrink them. there's a great program at irfanview.com that i've used for 8 years and it works well.
Jen,
DeleteWe used picnik to make them and can shrink any of them. It's easier to make them big and shrink them than try and make a button tiny haha
i like them! I'll let you know if I come up with any ideas for ones for the single ladies that don't use NFP, but stand with NFP!
ReplyDeleteyeah I was trying to think of phrases for single ladies but haven't thought of anything clever
Delete1, 4, 7, 8, 12, 13 are my faves. I'll be on the look-out for a good website. And feel free to use any of my tweets - though I think yours are VERY good.
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I second the suggestion of adding a "We Use NFP" one.
ReplyDeleteMy faves are: 4, 6, 7, 10.
ReplyDeleteA bit pitchy, dawg. ; )
ReplyDeleteYou can use my tweets if you want to. Also, I like 1 because it actually looks like a PP ad campaign (so we already know it would work.)
Did you get your FAM question answered? I have the book by the leading FAM doctor, so I can probably answer it for you.
And... my husband is going to work on his. It's cute but different from yours, so it might not be something you want to use.
I like #7 and #10 the best...
ReplyDeleteI know what NFP means, but do most folks? who is your target audience? the converted or the in the know? either way, great messages. keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of NFP buttons! FWIW, any of my tweets are fair game. :) I love #7 and #10 and I can't help but love #11.
ReplyDeleteI liked 1, 4, 8, 12, 13. I definitely agree with an earlier comment that #1 is good because it does look like a PP ad and people pay attention to pink for that reason. We need to take pink back! :) I think that the somewhat humorous ones are most likely to get people's attention and that's what is needed. I'll be excited to post one of these on my blog when I get it going. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI like 1, 7,8 and 14. Such a great idea! I really enjoyed the #iuseNFP tweets.
ReplyDeleteLove. love. love!!! (Maybe you could make me one for my nfpwv.com site? :))
ReplyDelete11 and 12 :D
ReplyDeleteI like 7 & 10. I am always drawn to ads (or buttons) that are a bit snarky & true :-)
ReplyDeleteLove them all! Too fun!
ReplyDeleteI love 8, 10, 12 & 13. Such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI love 4, 5, 7, 10, and 11. Some of those sayings totally made me laugh! Totally true and funny at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAt our wedding, one table full of guests sent up someone to our open mic to say, "NFP works!" while everyone at the table held up their kids. The Catholics laughed and the rest of our friends and family just looked confused. :)
Dawg, I love them all, but especially #10!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited with where you're going with this!!
Did anyone capture the entire list and where would I find it? It says no longer available on #iusenfp. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThese are great buttons. I put #11 on my Pinterest page.
ReplyDeleteI suggest NFPI's site as a link up. Though Catholic they clearly state at the bottom of their homepage that NFP can be used by anyone. They advocate the "complete approach", Kippley-Prem method, that used to be taught by CCL (who now has one approach and a different manual). NFPI's website: http://www.nfpandmore.org/index.shtml.
Yes we would love to use one for nfpvirginia.com too!
ReplyDeleteYes we would love to use one for nfpvirginia.com too!
ReplyDeleteThis page gives a good list of NFP methods with links to a short description of each: http://livingthesacrament.com/index.php/methods
ReplyDeleteI agree you need some for men.
ReplyDeleteOn the serious side: I use NFP...because I STILL love her enough to wait for her!
On the sassier side: I use NFP...because her body is so perfect as it is!
Love these, swiping one for our blog and will link it to the new site. If there are any of my tweets that work you are welcome to them.
ReplyDeleteNothing like being over a month late with my comments, but here they are:
ReplyDeleteI like the sayings on numbers 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20. Number 8 needs to be reworded somehow.
How about saying something about protecting our water supply and the fish? That would be geared towards those who love marine life. When we take medicine, we excrete it and it ends up in our water supply. Then it makes fish unhealthy.
